I have to admit, this is the first guild application I have filled out that has not been structured with the standard put ( information here and I am kind of intimidated by it, as I have never really had to be "judged" as a player on a platform that I am the shaper of, except, of course, in my everyday endevours in the game. That being said, let me paint a picture of my experiences and journey throughout World of Warcraft, and hopefully, create the vision of a player you would like to be a part of your team.
First let me start with a brief history of the other names I have been known by and their accomplishments...
Ralin, a mage on the server Malygos was my first character and was quite a test for me. I did little on him except get him to level 68, discover that I absolutely hated the mechanics of a mage (when I was first learning about game mechanics) and thus created my next character.
Pyras was my first character on Lightninghoof. He is currently a level 80 hunter with a mix of T7/T8 gear due to a brief amount of time where I attempted to make him my main this expansion and then quickly decided against it. In BC I co-lead a guild with a friend which was able to clear kharazhan (including the optional dragon boss), Gruul's Lair, and Mags. However we ended up falling apart on our first night of T5 due to in guild drama.
Senii, my priest, who also calls Lightninghoof home has seen the inside of everything from Naxx to ICC and has survived up until just before the release of the Plagueworks in ICC due to RL issues. On Senii I was able to Accomplish quite a bit, first reviving the guild I had co-lead in BC as the sole leader, this lasted until just before the launch of T* due to a large loss of members to other guilds. In T8 I bounced around quite a bit trying to find a fit but never really accomplishing it. In T9 I worked with Amped under the Lead of Mega as the heal class lead (i.e. in charge of all of the other healers and making sure they knew what they were doing) and helped the guild to accomplish it's first ToGC10 runs as the main healer of the group. In T10 a personal friend and I once again tried our hand at guild leading when Amped failed, Celestial (which still exists today as a shadow of it's former glory) was competing for 4th place (tied for this position, we were listed as 7th due to getting the kill hours apart of other guilds) on server in 25 man content when I was forced to stop raid leading due to RL issues. When my RL issues caught up with me, my friend decided to server transfer (Livahlis of Fizzcrank) and leave it in the hands of Selryth (now in Sublime). Upon returning I attempted to play a boomkin for a brief while and then decided on my current character...
Etrigg, which is my beautifully brain-dead-from-to-much-head-to-axe-contact Prot warrior. He has seen the inside of ICC up to Rotface (switching between being an off-tank and main tank) and completed ToC on multiple occasions. While his gearscore may seem low (at 4893 some could argue I take that useless badge trinket) their is little that I can obtain from heroics any longer and I feel my guild is currently wasting my talents by letting me sit idle many raid nights (I do love the guys in Victorious Secret they just have a strong core).
On Etrigg you will notice that I do not run the standard 15/5/51 that many Prot Warriors are running around with. I have two explainations for this, the first being that my current spec (5/15/51) is a variation of the Survivability spec listed on the Ensidia forums for warriors who I trust more then myself to do the calculations (math isn't my strong suit), and my second reason is because PuG healers are not often the most reliable and I refuse to be squished by Festergut again due to proper cooldown management and inferior heals (last time I couldn't find my left arm with my shield attached to it, it was messy and I don't want to do it again). However, under proper conditions I would run a threat spec, but current circumstances force me otherwise.
The second weakness you will notice about Etrigg is that he is NOT hit capped, however, according to Ensidia, Elitist Jerks, and Tankspot, this is not such an issue for tanks as being Expertise soft capped is, which I am above. (When the text above the enemy bosses head looks something like Dodge, Parry, Dodge, Dodge, Miss, Dodge, it becomes hard to hold aggro).
Other then that Etrigg is a fairly solid warrior on the pixel and calculation side. I can hold threat with him fairly well and while he is still a bit of a work in progress, I am continually working to improve both his gear and researching the class often to make sure he is as close to perfect as possible.
Now a little about me. I am a 21 year old college drop-out (and yes, I know some of you are going "why would he put that on an application?!?!?!"). So here is the reason why, I need to make it very clear that this was a choice that I made, not that it was something that the school made for me, throughout my time in college I carried a 3.2 GPA (which is a B / B+ average for those of you who don't know). So then why would I chose this life choice? Well, my girlfriend of 2 years is about to go to Graduate school and will make much more money then I ever would as a computer programmer. This lead me to make the choice to work and support both of us (next year, this year is in the money making stage) so that she can go to whatever Graduate School wherever she chooses and I can go with her to pay the bills. I will be going back to school after she graduates, however currently I drive forklifts for a business in Wisconsin.
A little more information is that I have friends and a life outside of the game just as I do inside the game. I am online in my spare time (which depending on the week can be as little as 15 minutes to check my auctions or as much as 30 hours doing absolutely nothing because all my Cooldowns are burned), and I would love to be a part of your guild due to the fact that you fit my schedule and seem like a motivated group of people.
Anyways, I appreciate your consideration and hope that you guys pick me to be a part of your team, it would be an honor.
